Greetings to you all!

I am happy to announce the OFFICAL LAUNCH of The Compass Coach!  And, the best part is that it won’t cost you a dime!

That’s right, for the first month, use can test drive the system, enjoy our teleclasses, and use all of the tools and no cost.

Imagine, you have all the time and goal management tools you need to stay on track and reach your ultimate destination in life.  You can manage and fine tune your immediate, intermediate, and long term goals (and even your ultimate life dream).

You can also use the Focus Area Wizard!  Use this space to put into words your vision of where you want to be in the future.  When you imagine your perfect life – a life where you are happy and fulfilled – What are the things that you would you like to have, to own or to be doing?

Let me go back a step….

Sometimes you just have so much on your mind that it’s challenging to get started.  Well, not with The Compass Coach.  I designed “brain dump”.  It’s where you go (if you like) when you first log in to your coaching account to clear your mind so you can get on with important tasks that take you from where you are to where you want to be.

Visit site now http://www.thecompasscoach.tv

And, let’s face it….

Sometimes, no matter how much you want something, you can get distracted.

That is why I created a segment of the program called “Distraction Control”.

Distraction control is about turning non-productive worrying into productive action using analysis & problem-solving. You will be asked to identify challenges – problems or obstacles which might get in the way of you achieving your goals.

At the end of this process you will have:

- A list of preventative actions you can take to address these challenges head on- A list of contingency actions for how you will cope if things do turn out badly

- An understanding of the negative thought processes which may be giving you an unrealistic perception of your situation.

You can also do periodic personal evaluations with your “Life Satisfaction Wizard”.

All of this is just the beginning.  The Compass Coach offers far more, including optional integration with your google calendar.

Visit site now http://www.thecompasscoach.tv

Remember, you also receive coaching teleclasses (AT NO COST) from me and select guests with the highest level of expertise in entrepreneurship, relationships, home and design, wellness, communication, philanthropy and more.  Again, there is no cost for this bonus feature.

When you log in, be sure to get the dates, times and details of our next teleclass.

Remember, the best thing you can do to get more joy and fulfillment in your life is to invest in making you the best person possible.

Thanks for your time.

I look forward to helping you create the best year of your life.

Be well!

John

Trim the Fat – Two Fold: Personal Trainer from The Real Housewives of Orange County Helps You Lose Holiday Weight While Keeping Your Wallet Fat

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, January 2009 – Spending money on personal trainers may seem like more of a luxury in today’s economic climate.  However, if you are like most American’s, you gained 5- 8 pounds since Thanksgiving and now want to do something about it. Celebrity personal trainer John Spencer Ellis, as seen on the current season of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Orange County, has a plan to keep your wallet fat and your waistline lean.

Ellis’ Adventure Boot Camp for Women, seen on season 3 of ‘Housewives’, is celebrating its 10th year serving Orange County residents.  To make fitness training available for all income levels, John is offering an hour of fitness training for $8.  This offer is available to those who commit to the 2009 season of the Orange County Adventure Boot Camp.  You earn the title of VIBC.  That’s boot camp talk for Very Important Boot Camper.  This distinct title is for those who decide to attend one of John’s boot camps Monday through Friday for four week periods – with short breaks – throughout all of 2009.  For your efforts, Ellis promises a new body and a new perspective on life.

“You cannot have a new year until you have a new you.  You must become strong mentally and physically to get the most from life.  Adventure boot camp offers participants the opportunity to lose fat fast, bond with like-minded women, and have the “me time” that everyone needs.  Fitness needs to be affordable to everyone.  Your health is surely worth $8,” states Ellis.

The 2009 season for Adventure Boot camp begins January 12th.  To find the location near you, visit the official website at http://www.ocbootcamp.com.

From the desk of Dr. John Spencer Ellis

Greetings to all of you.

2009 will be our 10th year of Adventure Boot Camp. In that time, we have grown to become the largest fitness boot camp program in the world with over 320 authorized instructors in 9 countries. And, still, our corporately owned and operated OC camps have remained largely unchanged. We are all like a family!

To celebrate our 10th year, we are adding a Newport Beach boot camp location. In addition, we are offering a 40% off VIBC (Very Important Boot Camper) special for those who commit to the year of 2009. Details at http://www.ocbootcamp.com

Remember, we still have one more 2-week holiday camp beginning December 8th. There are 3-day and 5-day options.

We also have new instructors to introduce. You can learn about them here: http://ocbootcamp.com/aboutus.html

_____________

On another note, I have been hearing a lot on the news about holiday stress. Come on people! What’s so stressful about visiting with people you routinely avoid the rest of the year, and driving in traffic with millions of other people doing the same?

Here are some simple ways to reduce holiday stress:

1. Surprise, surprise – exercise greatly reduces holiday stress

2. Meditation has been proven in hundreds of medical studies to reduce stress (and even help cancer patients)

3. A bath with essential oils. Lavender is always a favorite scent for relaxation.

In closing, I want to remind you to have as much fun as possible this holiday season while you stay healthy.

Be well.

John

PS – Many of you have wanted a more detailed explanation of what The Compass movie and book are all about. Well, I was recently interviewed on an Australian TV show. Watch this short and informative video to get all the details. http://www.whoswhospeaks.com/flash/wws03.html

Business Tip: Form your own Personal Success Network
From Dr. John Spencer Ellis, CEO

If you are not yet as successful as you want to be, then you simply must network to become acquainted with others who can help you.  Networking means going to company and other non-company functions and parties and extending yourself to meet others.  Many people feel that small talk and getting to know people is only a natural ability that some people have and others do not.  Becoming good at talking to people and getting to know others is an acquired skill.

You might read that there are specific rules about what can and cannot be said when starting a conversation with a business contact or client.  This could not be further from the truth.  You must start a conversation, keep the conversation going, and create a bond so that the other person thinks you are a cool person worth getting to know and talking to.  The concept that you should not be talking about your personal life or controversial topics is overstated.  The most important thing for you to do is to be yourself.  Don’t worry about what to say or not say when starting a conversation; simply know that you must start it.  Power comes from sharing information, not keeping it from others.  Being up front, honest, and sincere with others earns well-deserved respect.

You have only a few seconds before a person decides whether they like you or not.  Most of this communication is nonverbal.  Smile, make eye contact, lean in without invading the other person’s personal space, and relax.  Make the other person feel like the most important person in the room.  Adapt to the other person by dialing down your excitement and focusing on being more deliberate and precise with your words, and listening to what the person has to say.  Using a similar style of speech, body language, tone, and cadence is not something you practice or try to do, but something that will come naturally if you relax and are attentive to the person with whom you are communicating.

When concluding your conversation in a group setting, mention something significant from your conversation and then simply state what a pleasure it was speaking with him or her and that you are looking forward to speaking again.  If you wish to continue the relationship, after mentioning something significant you both had in common from your conversation, mention that “we should get together sometime and talk about (blank).”  This isn’t meant to be a format for dating, but there are some strong similarities aren’t there?  If the person is interested in furthering your friendship or business relationship, they will agree that you should meet again and this is the opportunity to exchange business cards, emails, or cell numbers.  If not, they won’t.  You will then move on to talk with someone else.

Networking with other professionals so that you can share in your professional expertise and learn from one another is crucial in your development as a person and as a professional.  Don’t TRY to get something out of the relationship, if you are willing to listen to the other person, and show genuine appreciation for the other person’s time, and share something of worth, you will both benefit from the contact.

For more information on how to network and communicate with other professionals, consider Spencer Institute’s coaching programs at http://www.spencerinstitute.com/ourprograms.html.  You should also refer to your NESTA PFT manual.  Don’t have an updated manual?  Order or upgrade at www.nestapft.com or by calling 1-877-348-6692.  Specials are available now.  Listen and observe carefully, or you’ll miss the big opportunity you have been looking for.

Let us know how we can be of greater service to you.

Only at NESTA PFT Workshops will you:

  1. Take your PFT exam live, without traveling to a testing center location, and get your exam results faster than anywhere else
  2. Gain more hands-on biomechanical breakdowns of bodyweight, machine, cable, medicine ball, stability ball, and free weight exercises than through any other certification program
  3. Get detailed descriptions of how to actually meet, obtain, and keep training clients

Certified personal trainers can earn licenses to open up their own branches of Adventure Boot Camp

Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., November 2008 – Work out “boot camps” are becoming increasingly popular among women who are seeking an alternative to the gym to get into shape. Dr. John Spencer Ellis created Adventure Boot Camp in 2000 with the idea of creating a more personalized workout experience, such as a training session, but for a larger audience.

The Adventure Boot Camp business system is a complete home study course on CD-ROM format. It includes all the materials that certified personal trainers need to start their own camp. The student will learn about logistics of setting up a camp and kinds of activities and training. Business fundamentals are discussed as well as tips on marketing, networking, and sales. There are a few extras included such as how to conduct nutrition seminars for boot campers as well as a drill book from renowned fitness expert, Kelli Calabrese.

“The Adventure Boot Camp system has been so successful since its inception nearly a decade ago that I want to let other trainers to know that there is the option of starting their own camp and having the potential to earn more than personal training alone,” says Dr. Ellis. “This licensing program has everything they need to get started to begin their own camp.”

As previously mentioned, it is imperative that applicants already be certified (through NESTA or any nationally recognized certifying body) and have one or more years experience training. More information can be found at http://www.adventurebootcamp.com.

About Adventure Boot Camp: ABC is the original outdoor fitness boot camp for women. Since 2000, ABC has offered a unique alternative to traditional gym exercises. All trainers are NESTA certified, meaning that they have reached the highest standards in the personal fitness industry. Adventure Boot Camp has locations in all 50 states as well as in seven different countries. http://www.ocbootcamp.com or http://www.adventurebootcamp.com. From the desk of Dr. John Spencer Ellis

Now is the best time to make big strides in your life.  That’s what I am doing. And that is what my mentors, who are far more successful than me, are doing, too.  There are so many incredible opportunities in front of you – right now.  Take a moment to learn how to cease them.

Follow my plan for thriving – not just surviving – in the fall of 2008.

1. Eliminate junk.  When I say “junk” I am referring to excess papers, old magazines, full trash cans, your re-gifted gift, or VCR that you know you’ll never use.  Donate anything worthy.  Use the tax write-off.

2. Get organized.  When your home, office and life are organized, you will make better decisions and benefit greatly in all of your small and larger daily tasks.

 3.  Get clear.  You must get clear on exactly what you want to do. The clearer the image; the better and faster your results will appear.  If you want to lose fat, you must know exactly how much and how you will do it.

4. Gain knowledge.  You must have the knowledge to improve as a person or a business.

5. Become resourceful.  Seek any and all opportunities to go from “where you are to where you want to be!”  You can always use information in part, or full, or all aspects with existing knowledge.

6. Take advantage.  While others ponder, piddle around and meander, you can be making huge strides with your life, your body and your business.  This is the time!

7. Stop being inundated.  After you get your fill of both sides of an issue touting there greatness, and bashing the other, turn off the TV.  Being well informed is one thing, but being bombarded is another. Remember, stellar companies are born when others are afraid to act.  People buying houses now will be much further ahead than if they wait.  If you are in business, your time is now to gain and edge, move ahead, and let those who ponder be as they may.

I made a (re)commitment to myself on Saturday.  I decided that I would seek every advantage available and gain any and all skills needed to have the opportunity to share my successes with those I inspire, and those I aspire to be.  I want the same for you.

Now is the time to act and go after all that you want, desire, and deserve in life.

I’m always here to help you in any way I can.  If you are in need of professional education to skyrocket your career, NESTA and the Spencer Institute will help.  If you need marketing and sales training, visit Personal Trainer Tools.

If you are seeking direction and understanding, you will enjoy our live life coach training classes in Orange County. Our next sessions have just been added.

Cost effective diet and meal planning is available at http://www.dietguru.com.

Learn how to live life to the fullest with my book Peak Vitality.  I wrote this book with other incredible experts such as Wayne Dyer, Eckert Tolle, Deepak Chopra, Andrew Weil and others.

I have become a big fan of the TRX fitness system and strongly suggest it as part of your regular training program.  It has become 50% of my totally training program each week.  Check it out!

Stay focused. Make progress each day towards your goals.

Be well.

John
